Novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

Update: July 9th 2020

The situation with COVID-19 continues to change at a rapid pace. It is posing unprecedented challenges for the health and wellbeing of our communities and for the continuing operations of Stirling.

Stirling institute of Australia is announcing a range of measures.  Our office will remain open and our classes will continue, but with some significant changes to the way we teach.

From Monday 13th of July, access to virtual classrooms will be available to students via Zoom.us.

Our priority remains, as always, the health and wellbeing of our staff, students and wider community.

We recognise our community may be feeling anxious and we are reminding them of the various supports available. SIA has entered into an agreement with Nexus psychology to provide an ongoing Employee Assistance Program.

Please contact 1300 790 265 for further details.

For those who are currently or soon to be undertaking work placement in an Aged Care facility, please see a release by the Department of Health here.

As the global pandemic COVID-19 breaches Australia’s shores, we’re being advised to socially distance, self-isolate, and quarantine. With much of the nation being urged to work from home, and schools and universities preparing to shift to online learning, our telcos are recognising how important it is for us to stay connected.

Recently, Optus, Telstra, and Vodafone all announced bonus data inclusions for postpaid and prepaid customers, with some providers offering unlimited calls along with unmetered access to health websites.
