I love being involved in Hypnotherapy because…As a Senior Nurse and Midwife , I became a counsellor to assist my patients through crisis and trauma. It was at this time that I recognised the potential we all have to use our powerful thoughts to create new and wonderfully unexpected outcomes. This led me to learn more about our minds ability to create change and it was then I discovered Clinical Hypnotherapy. I have never looked back. I am so passionate about the power of the mind to bring about the most amazing physical, chemical and emotional changes in our bodies that can literally transform our lives. I have witnessed the most amazing results , both personally and professionally when the practise of  hypnotherapy is properly applied and it never fails to excite me. 

For me the best thing about the Academy is…

I love to learn and I love to teach and through teaching at the Academy I get the opportunity to impart my knowledge gained from years of valuable experience in the area of Counselling and Clinical Hypnotherapy to the students. In doing so I excitedly get to play a part in helping to inspire competent and confident Clinical Hypnotherapists. 

At the Academy it is always wonderful to see the adult students of every age and from every walk of life gathering together with one goal in mind; To learn and to experience something new and exciting and in doing so change their lives.  Hypnosis is powerful and the Academy provides a practical and experiential learning environment. The course content is extensive and well structured, and students are supported, nurtured and  prepared to be the best practitioners of Clinical Hypnotherapy they can be.

Why do the Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy Course:

Comparing courses can often be confusing and difficult. Sometimes it is not clear if you are comparing oranges to apples, or apples to apples. During my time as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor and a Professional Clinical Supervisor, I have had the opportunity to participate in and observe many varied courses for both disciplines.  

I have found that the Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy offered at the Academy of Hypnotic Science through the Stirling Institute to be one that adheres to the highest of standards. It is a true diploma qualification of the standard upheld by Australian National Recognised Training criteria and recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework. What this guarantees for the student is that they are receiving a qualification of a standard that will enable them, upon successful completion, to be not only confident but also competent practitioners. The Academy creates a learning environment conducive to, and supportive of, learning at the individuals own pace.
