CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
The Certificate IV in Ageing Support prepares you to care for Australian seniors effectively in residential facilities and their homes, making real change in their lives.
This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and / or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
We actively tailor training for people from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities and encourage all to apply.
Course Highlights
As part of this course, you will take part in the following activities:
An organised industry work placement (minimum of 120hrs)
Ability to apply your skills in our practical training environment
Entry Requirements
To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, prospective students need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at Certificate IV level, this can be demonstrated via the following:
Pre-training review to ensure student has the appropriate level of Language Literacy and Numeracy to achieve the competencies. Where a test result is supplied, it must be within the last 12 months.
Basic computer skills.
Additional Requirements
A satisfactory National Police Check (NPC) will be required for all practical placements.
Immunisation certificate may be requested by the host employer.
Immunisation including fully vaccinated against COVID by a TGA approved vaccine

+ Delivery
This course is delivered face to face in a classroom environment with a combination of interactive workshops in the classroom with opportunities to participate in practical application of skills and knowledge through, practical industry based simulated training activities and workplace participation.
Estimated duration of 35 tuition weeks allowing sufficient time to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in each unit.
120 hours work placement in a suitable workplace e.g. aged care, home and community or community service organisation.
+ Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
All prospective students enrolling in the course are entitled to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer.
